Over recent years we have achieved a number of successes which demonstrates our strengths as an employer of choice. In 2006 we entered the Best Companies to Work for In Ireland study for the first time. Facilitated by the Great Place to Work Institute, participation involves a colleague survey and a ‘culture-audit’ of our practices including our communication, diversity, training and development practices. The Great Place to Work Institute’s 20 years of research has shown that trust between managers and employees is the primary defining characteristic of the very best workplaces. We were delighted to learn in early 2007 that we had achieved a place in the Top 10 Best Companies - an outstanding achievement for our first year to enter the competition!
Not content with a Top 10 place, we used the feedback from the colleague survey to introduce new initiatives and in 2008 we were awarded the honour of being selected as one of the Top 5 Companies and the Overall Best Company to Work for in Ireland (500 - 1,000 employees)! In 2009, we succeeded in achieving this honour for the second year running. The Great Place to Work Institute praised our outstanding openness and transparency towards both our colleagues and customers As described by our Human Resources Director, Tracy O’Brien, our distinctive customer orientation is only possible with our motivated and satisfied employees. Our open approach to our colleagues reflects the manner in which they deal with our customers. As a company we are tremendously proud of these achievements and they reflect the ongoing commitment and dedication of our people.
