Unicarepharmacy is delighted to be an official supporter of the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games. Unicarepharmacy has donated over €30,000 to support The 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games which takes place in Limerick from the 9-13th of June. The largest Irish retail pharmacy chain held a dedicated fundraising week across its 72 branches nationwide raising over €5000 from donations and in store activity alone. In addition to this, Unicarepharmacy has donated over €25000 worth of health care stock and items to The 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games to support their Healthy Athletes Programme. The pharmacy chain will also provide a 24 hour on call emergency pharmacy service for athletes during the Games.
Earlier in the year, Unicarepharmacy won the Best Workplace in Ireland Retail Sector Award 2010 and more recently was named one of Europe’s 50 Best Large Workplaces by The Great Places to Work, Europe. They were also given a special award for “speaking the truth” in recognition of their communication.
